John NanceFrom the back of the book the
Seattle-Post-Intelligencer (which is not in print anymore only online) called this John Nance book "A heart-pounder." Boy was it!
This story kept me at the edge of my seat. In a departure (about time) from his other books, Nance pulls no punches and kills off a couple of plane loads of people pretty early into the book. The action also hops around the globe following FBI Agent Bronsky as she flies by passenger and as pilot to Asia, Hawaii and the U.S. mainland tracking and being tracked by FBI Agents, who are responsible for the 2 airplane crashes and are determined to silence the survivors? What?
Well there are lots of cloak and dagger happenings is this story. In another departure the action takes place mostly on the ground with terrifying plane sequences thrown in for good measure. As opposed to the usual airplane running away by flying around the globe for the whole book.
Copyright in 2000 Nance alludes to the possibility of the World Trade Center being hit by a plane! Though on takeoff and due to the pilots incapacitation through blindness - the crux of the evil-FBI agents method to takeout the planes.) Ok, so waaay different than what really happened but I saw John Nance in an interview where he told how he had predicted the scenario that happened on September 11. Yeah it was a stretch on his part. But I say blackout your calender and make time to read this John Nance book.
